Beaver County Girls Fastpitch League meeting

Discussion:

Registration Fees: We are not looking at increasing any fees this year, but that will depend on how many teams we have at each group.
ASA Registration: $17.00
Umpire Fees: $23.00 per team ($46.00 per game)

Coaches Cards: In an effort to help reduce the cost, we will be using the ACE's coach cards as the Head Coach card and the NAYs card for Assistance Coaches. Both certifications can be done on line, NAYs cards can be printed right away. ACE cards take about 11 days from time you finish the required course level and pay. If your coaches have been identified I would recommend getting the certification out of the way. In addition, you can have your background check done on line at the same time you are completing your ACE certification as well with no additional cost.

Age Groups for 2009: 8, 10, 12, 14, and 16 under.

Roster vs Call-ups: Call ups are just that, if you do not have enough players for that team 9 minimum to start a game then a call up can be used, but if you already have 10 players you cannot bring up a player. A better clarification will be provided in the rules this year.

Teams: Each organization needs to let Mike Anderson know by the 1st of April as to how many teams they will have at each group. This will allow time to set things up for the scheduling meeting.

Next meeting was scheduled for February 26, 2009: Those present we decided to cancel it and meet on March 26, 2009 in the Small Theatre at 6:30.

Directions to the small theatre, if you enter the Beaver Area High School at the Bell Tower come in the doors and bare to your right and walk to the very end of the Hall way and the theatre will be on your left (the very end).

Beaver, Beaver Falls, Blackhawk, Brighton Township, Center, Freedom, New Brighton - I have spoken with South Side, Western Beaver, Quaker Valley and East Palestine. If I forgotten someone who was at the meeting please let me know.
